Turkish Lira (TRY) to British Pound Sterling

The Turkish lira (TRY) is the national currency of Turkey. The new Turkish lira was introduced in 2005 following a 100,000-to-1 redenomination of the old lira; since 2009 it has again been known simply as the Turkish lira. One lira is subdivided into 100 kuruş. Coins are denominated 1, 5, 10, 25 and 50 kuruş and 1 lira; banknotes are denominated 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 lira. The ISO numeric code for the lira is 949.
